Everything You Need for Your Easter Weekend—All in ONE place

Easter is only ONE week away. This is probably one of my top favorite holidays. We celebrate Easter in several ways. First and foremost, in our family, Easter is all about the Resurrection of Jesus. In years past, we dress up and go to church in the morning, and after church is when we celebrate all the other fun activities Easter has to offer. This year we aren’t sure if we will attend church in person, but we will be celebrating it either way!

There are so many other things to do Easter weekend. From Easter egg hunts, to fun cookie crafts, dying eggs, and stuffing those Easter baskets with all the goodies. I don’t know about you, but being a mom with two little ones, it can be hard to find time to run around finding everything you need. Hy-Vee has completely changed that. One stop & I am ready for Easter!

Easter Meal Ideas

Looking to enjoy some good food & not spend time cooking in the kitchen? Hy-Vee has fantastic pre-cooked food for brunch, lunch and/or dinner that you can order ahead of time for when you need it! You can select the meal through their app and get it either delivered to your door step, or pick it up in the store (that’s what we do)—that way I can grab a bottle of champagne for mimosas 🙂

Below is a picture of their brunch for two & it was SOOO good! Highly recommend. You simply just reheat the food with the provided directions from the QR code on the box. Takes less than 10 minutes and you have a full course meal. It’s also very affordable! Our brunch was under $23, and we will have leftovers for the next day, too (which is always my favorite).

Fun Activities for Kids

Hy-Vee also has some really fun activities for kids. Lots of options for egg dying & outdoor actives. One we found to be fun was the cookie decorating kit. The cookies are already pre-made (love that—saves me time and a mess in my kitchen). There is frosting and sprinkles included for the kids to decorate their own Easter egg cookies. We had my niece & nephew over, and the three of them had an absolute blast decorating their cookies. Fun was had, memories were made, and minimal mess was made for this momma to clean up 😉

Easter Basket Ideas

Hy-Vee has lots of goodies for Easter Baskets, too! A never ending assortment of chocolates, chocolate eggs, jelly beans, peeps, adorable fresh baked cookies, and the cutest bunny cakes! Wanting to add some fun toys for the kids? They have so many options for that, too! I picked up some chalk, bubbles, and beach toys for my kids Easter baskets. They also have a wide variety of tulips, flowers, plants, cards, bath bombs (egg shaped of course), and plush stuffed animals for those little ones. Can’t forget to mention the endless amount of eggs for those Easter egg hunts! There is truly something for everyone!

Hope you all have a great Easter!

Much love,

Kiersten
