Self-doubt.

I have to be completely honest, when I started my blog and posted it publicly I was SO nervous. Feelings of anxiety (which I NEVER get) started to creep in. I compared myself to all the other mom/lifestyle/fashion bloggers that I follow. I would tell myself things like, “they are way more prettier than me” & “my page doesn’t have enough content” & “what if I fail?”…the list goes on & on on the thoughts that crept into my mind. My husband was quick to hear me (cause apparently I was talking to myself out loud—a daily thing I do) and responded with, “You are pretty, and you should be proud of yourself. Don’t compare yourself to others and just focus on what you want and your goals. You can’t fail if all you compare yourself to is yourself.” He is so right! I then quit talking negative.

If you’ve ever doubted yourself in any way (which if you’re human than you have at some point), that’s normal, but remember you are exactly who God created you to be. Don’t let your past failures cloud your future endeavors. Every day we get is a blessing. Make the most of it & focus on YOUR goals. Don’t let others cloud your vision. Make the most of every opportunity and don’t forget to give yourself grace. We will mess up, but we will also succeed.

New Year’s always bring a chance for new goals and a fresh start. My new years resolution “words” are NEW & FRESH. I am venturing into something I have always wanted to do: blogging. I am excited and also somewhat nervous. It’s a journey. It’s a new and fresh start and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Whatever your resolution may be, just remember it is YOURS & no person can take it away. YOU got this!

Much love, Kiersten.
