Legoland Florida is a must family visit. It’s a fun family vacation spot. We had the chance to spend a day at Legoland Florida—and we wish we would’ve had a good couple days. I would highly recommend at least doing a weekend here so you can truly take in everything. Luckily, we are only a couple hours away, so we plan to go again. There is so much to do, and there is something for all ages! My kids enjoyed the waterpark area the best, but they have a whole theme park area that looked really fun! Of course, lego statues are everywhere, and they are all so cool and impressive. Whether you have toddlers or older kids, you will have so much fun!

Some Highlights from our visit:

  • DUPLO Safari with many interactive water-play animal structures & small water slide. This was Nolan’s favorite!
  • Build-a-Raft Lazy River —the kids had fun stacking all the large lego pieces
  • DUPLO Tot Spot
  • MINILAND USA

What’s inside DUPLO area?

They have a whole splash & play area, A Tot Spot where you can build towers and free play with large Duplo Legos. There is a shaded play area just for tots too called Technic Tot Spot. Don’t forget to hop on the The Grand Carousel as a family before leaving!

Theme Park at Legoland & Things To Do With Older Kids

If you have older kids there is SO much to do! Some major spots are:

  • Build-A-Boat center
  • LEGO Wave Pool
  • Splash Out water slides
  • Battle of Bricksburg
  • Beetle Bounce
  • Boating School
  • Flying School
  • Imagination Zone
  • Kid Power Towers
  • LEGO NINJAGO The Ride
  • LEGO NINJAGO World
  • Lost Kingdom Adventure
  • Merlin’s Challenge
  • The Dragon
  • The Forestmen’s Hideout
  • MINILAND USA
  • Botanical Gardens

We enjoyed strolling through the whole MINILAND USA. It was one of the most incredible and iconic thing I have seen! People have designed big well known cities, like Hollywood Bowl, Giffith Observatory, the Golden Gate Bridge, Daytona International Speedway, Key West, Antebellum Mansions, the Kennedy Space Center and SO MUCH MORE! It was really cool! It’s also all shaded, so it’s a nice way to cool off 🙂

What to Bring With You

It’s a very large and spread out Resort. You will do lots of walking so, if you have stroller aged kids, do NOT forget it. I was so glad we had our double stroller. Wagon would be a great idea, too. Bring a separate change of clothes if you plan to do the waterpark (which is what we spent the most time in). They have nice big and clean changing rooms where you can change into your swim suits and out of when your done. Don’t forget your beach towels! We forgot to bring ours since we were staying at resort in Disney, but don’t fret, they have a store right in the same area as the splash zone where you can buy some 🙂 Once you leave the waterpark area, you can’t walk around in your swimwear, so plan to bring a change of clothes. They do provide life vests for your little ones. Just don’t forget your sunscreen! I mean, it is Florida 😉

Extra Services Legoland Offers

The have a Baby Care Center, which I think is so cool. There is an area you can nurse, change, warm up your bottle and more! For more information click here.

They have food concessions throughout the parks. In the Water Park they have Beach Street Tacos & Beach-n-Brick Grill. In the Theme Park they have: Burger Kitchen, Dragon’s Den, Firehouse Ice Cream, Fun Town Pizza & Pasta Buffet, Fun Town Slushies, Funnel Cake Factory, Granny’s Apple Fries, and Heartlake Ice Cream Parlor, and more!

Where to Stay

You can stay right in the heart of Legoland! There are a couple different options. There is Pirate Island Hotel, Legoland Hotel, and Beach Retreat. You can find details on the rooms and packages here.

Legoland Florida is such a fun family destination vacation spot. We can’t wait to go back!

Much love,

Kiersten

Orlando Florida has so many amazing places to go as a family. Some big ones–Disney, Epcot, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld are fantastic, but there are so many other family filled places around those major parks as well. We just went to ICON Park and it did not disappoint! So, when planning your vacations to Orlando, Florida, this is a place you’ll want to stop and spend some time at. We all had so much fun! Check out below some highlights and for more info.

**This content is Sponsored along with any links**

This is not your average Ferris wheel, this is a 400 ft. Observation Wheel gives you a view of Orlando like no other. This is how we ended our day, and I highly recommend. You get your own ‘box’ and can bring your stroller right inside with you. They have a music box that you can sync up to your phone, and seating in the middle if you’d like as well. You have the option to get your pictures taken before getting on, and they also have a mini bar you can stop at to grab a drink before boarding! The views were incredible! We all thoroughly enjoyed this!

One of our family’s favorite was the aquarium. SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium was hands down the best aquarium we have been to. You get to see so many ocean creatures. From fish, sharks, stingrays, sea turtles and so much more. They have fun little bubbles you can go in and feel like your swimming with them. The kids loved this! (pictured below). Whether you have little toddlers (Brooke is 3, Nolan 1.5 yr) or older kids, this is for sure a place for the whole family! I also liked how it wasn’t overly large, allowing it be not so stressful if you do have little kids. They offer extra hands on behind the scenes tours as well!

ICON Park also has the fun Museum of Illusions, Madame Tussauds, and the popular StarFlyer. The StarFlyer is the largest swing ride in the world with standing at 450 feet! These were attractions we didn’t end up getting to. Our kids are a little to small for those attractions, but if you have late elementary and older those would be perfect to add on!

Another family highlight was the Pearl Express Train. We all got to ride around in the train, which Brooke thought was SO fun. It gives you a tour of the Park & its attractions, too. It’s a shorter ride, so perfect for little ones! Although, there were lots of adults who went on it too 😉

The middle of the Park there is an open grass area for your kids to wiggle and roam. On the outside of this area are all the restaurants and shopping. You can choose from over 40 amazing restaurants. From date night feel, to family, there are restaurants for everyone! The popular Sugar Factory, Shake Shack, and Gordon Ramsay’s Fish & Chips, (which is where we ate) are just to name a few! The food we had was AMAZING!

Looking for a place to spend happy hour at? Head on over to the Yard House. It has 140 taps of local, craft, and imported draft beers along with an array of handcrafted cocktails. The options are endless!

Basically, ICON Park is a place you have to stop at. BUT– before heading to ICON Park, make sure you check out their Play Pass. This will save you over 50%! This pass includes the 8 most popular attractions including, The Wheel, SEA LIFE Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, Starflyer, Museum of Illusions, 7D Motion Theater, Pearl Express, and more. You also get exclusive dining and shopping discounts! This link will bring you to purchase the pass https://iconparkorlando.com/tickets-packages/play-pass/

This is the pass we had, and we used this to its fullest. ICON Park is a place I would absolutely recommend to visit! We had so much fun & I hope you do, too!

Much love,

Kiersten
