A Five Star Resort In Disney World
Hi friends! We had such a great time at The Wyndham Grand Orlando over Christmas break. This five star resort in Disney World is the perfect family friendly getaway spot. As spring season is around the corner, I know so many of you will be looking to venture to the Orlando area because of the attractions. If that is happens to be you and your family, The Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek is hands down where you should stay. Seriously, book it now! It is stunning! We stayed two nights here with the kiddos, and had such a great time. We will absolutely be going back! So, why did we love it so much? Check out my top ten reasons why.
Ten Reasons Why We Loved This Resort
The Staff is Excellent
They were all so nice, professional, smiley, and helpful. From check-in to check-out we were blown away. Truly haven’t had a better staff anywhere!
It is Beautiful
From the moment you pull up, and walk into the lobby you’re in awe. The rooms are really nice, too. We had a double queen with bunk beds and it was so nice with the kids to have a little nook separated from them. Head on over to my Instagram page and check out the reel I made for a room tour! The restaurants, spa, pools and walking path with the lake and water fountain in the middle is an absolute dream.
Close to Disney
It is less than 5 miles away from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom! They also provide a free shuttle to and from to make things easy & convenient. Enjoy your day out at the parks and come back to play some more or simply relax! You’ll want to make sure you spend at least a couple days just soaking up everything this resort has to offer!
The Food is Amazing
Breakfast, lunch, dinner—all five stars! You can enjoy a full course breakfast at Tesoro Cove before headed out for the day at Disney, and then come back for a great dinner at the Deep Blu. Simply enjoy a small breakfast at the Barista with a Starbucks latte, or head on down to Tesoro Cove for a sit down buffet style with endless options served with some mimosas for the adults 🙂 Sticking around for lunch? Make sure you head to the Back Bay Pool Bar & Grill. They had some of the best guacamole and quesadillas I have had in a long time & their margaritas did not disappoint 😉
For dinner, make sure you make reservations at The Deep Blu. Our servers, hostesses, and chef were fantastic! I would recommend starting off with their charcuterie board & caesar salad. Then for your main dish, the Grouper dish was to die for (pictured below). Oh, and don’t forget! There is a fresh ice cream bar at the Barista any time of the day 🙂
Did Someone Say Room Service?
Wiped out from Disney or just simply swimming all day? Or maybe you just want to take a bath & stay in your robe. Or if you have a little one who wakes earlier than the rest, (cough cough Nolan at 5:30 am) get breakfast #1 before you all go for breakfast later. You can enjoy food and drinks with their 24 hour In-Room service delivered right to your room! This is always a must for us when we stay somewhere 😉
Outdoor Park & Mini golf
The have a park the kids can play on to get some wiggles out. Its fenced in and has nice views of the lake. Was perfect for my kids after breakfast to play while we sipped on some coffee. They also have a miniature golf course that looked fun! We didn’t get the chance to try it, but it was busy with lots of families having a great time. Perfect for grade school kids and older!
Gorgeous Views & Fireworks
This was a highlight. We arrived at the resort in the evening and once stepping into our room, the view from our window was so beautiful! It was all lit up around the pools and the lake with the water fountains. They also had fireworks go off in the distance around 10pm which was really fun! During the day the views are so pretty, too. All the palm trees, plants, and Bird of Paradise flowers truly make it feel like vacation. There are cozy chair swings located all along the walking path. It’s a perfect spot to cozy up whatever time of day it is!
Endless Water Fun
With a splash pad, 5 pools, 8 hot tubs & 2 lazy rivers you can’t get bored. The splash pad & lagoon style pool is perfect for toddlers! They have a little slide and many other water spouts making for a fun day in the water. There are 5 pools total, one in front of each resort and you have access to all of them (just don’t forget to bring the provided towels from your resort with you!) The pools are all a little different making there something for every age and stage. The big pirate ship with the water slide and lazy river is so cool!
Adults–with all the hot tubs it’s perfect to cozy up in the evening next to the fire pits around the corner from the hot tubs. Add a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail and you have a picture perfect evening 😉 Besides all the lovely pools and water activities, there is a life size connect four that the kids loved playing with. They also have bags or corn hole (depends who you’re asking for the name on that one) right next to the pool & a ping-pong table beneath the look out tower area.
Walking Path Around Lake
We loved walking around seeing all the fun things to do. The lake has beautiful koi fish, ducks, exotic birds, and some snakes and gators too 😉 You don’t swim in it, but it was sure beautiful to look at and walk by! Whether you have little kids like us and go for stroller rides, or start your morning off jogging, this path is such a family friendly set up. There is some history of Bonnet Creek and the look out tower that’s cool, too. Below the look out tower there is a ping pong table below it if you’re looking to play a couple games of that.
Indoor Fun
From the sexy & speakeasy style bar to the fun arcade, there is something for everyone! You can’t forget the Spa, too! We enjoyed some cocktails in the fun lounge chairs. It was a little rainy the last day we were there, so we spent some time at the arcade on the lower level. The kids had fun riding the motorcycles and shooting some hoops and just simply running around pushing buttons with the ages they are lol. Older kids would enjoy the games differently though 🙂 They also have a spa were you can get away and relax! I didn’t have time to do this with the kids, but next time this momma will get a massage 😉
